I ordered a 14" to replace a similar pizza screen that I received as a gift some 20 years ago. Anyhow, if you like to have crisp crust identical to placing a pizza right on an oven rack, than this is what you want. The advantage of using the screen is that there is no mess left in the oven and you can also easily remove the pizza from the oven. If you like a softer pizza, than this is not what you want. I always had a problem with the bottom of the pizza crust not getting very crispy and staying more soft bread like when making home made pizza. If you don't do that, chances are you'll have to pry your pizza loose with a spatula which makes for not-so-appetizing looking results. But the screen cleans up easily even after such an ooops. Great crust when it's done right! |
